Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Wild return home tonight looking to put a rough road trip behind them when they host the Vancouver Canucks at Xcel Energy Center. Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM.
Minnesota dropped a tough one on Saturday, falling to the Boston Bruins 6-3 on the road. Despite the loss, the Wild remain in third place in the Central Division with a 41-21 record, sitting comfortably in a playoff position.
Tonight’s opponent, however, may be just what the doctor ordered. Vancouver comes to St. Paul as one of the weakest teams in the Western Conference, posting a 22-44 record that has them eliminated from postseason contention.
With just a handful of regular-season games remaining, the Wild will be eager to keep pace in the Central and fine-tune their game ahead of the playoffs.
Tonight’s game gets underway at 7:00 PM at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
