Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The 2026 Minnesota Twins season gets underway as the club travels to Camden Yards to face the Baltimore Orioles on Opening Day. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 p.m.
It marks the beginning of a new chapter for the organization under manager Derek Shelton, who takes the helm of a Twins team eager to put last season’s struggles firmly in the rearview mirror. Minnesota finished 2025 with a 70-92 record, and the club is hoping to return to the postseason for the first time since their 2023 playoff appearance.
Right-hander Joe Ryan gets the ball for the Twins in the season opener, tasked with setting the tone for what Minnesota hopes will be a turnaround year.
The Twins did show some encouraging signs heading into the regular season. In their final spring tuneup games earlier this week, Minnesota posted a pair of impressive results against Boston, including a 15-6 rout on Tuesday.
Following this three-game series in Baltimore, the Twins return home before heading to Kansas City to close out the opening stretch of the schedule.
