Timberwolves’ Winning Streak Snapped in Blowout Loss to 76ers

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Timberwolves’ three-game winning streak came to an abrupt end Sunday night, as the Philadelphia 76ers handed them a dominant 135-108 defeat at Target Center.

Philadelphia controlled the game from start to finish, building a lead as large as 29 points and never letting Minnesota find its footing. The loss was a sobering reminder of the inconsistency that has plagued the Wolves throughout the season.

Anthony Edwards was the lone bright spot for Minnesota, pouring in a game-high 28 points in the losing effort. Despite Edwards’ production, the Wolves struggled to generate any meaningful offense against a physical 76ers defense.

With the loss, Minnesota falls to 35-23 on the season and remains in sixth place in the Western Conference standings. The Timberwolves will look to bounce back quickly, as they hit the road tomorrow night to take on the Portland Trail Blazers.
