Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – Three Minnesota Wild players will be front and center when the United States takes on Slovakia in the Olympic men’s hockey semifinals today in Milan.
Quinn Hughes, Brock Faber, and Matt Boldy are all expected to suit up for Team USA as the Americans look to advance to the gold medal game. Hughes enters the contest riding a wave of momentum after his dramatic overtime winner in the quarterfounds, a goal that kept the US dream alive and sent the team into the final four.
Faber and Boldy will also look to make their mark as the Wild’s contingent continues to represent Minnesota on the biggest stage in international hockey. For fans back home, today’s game is must-watch viewing — puck drop is set for 2:10 PM.
A win would send the United States to the gold medal game, where a shot at the top of the podium awaits.
