Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Timberwolves are heading into the All-Star break feeling good about where they stand.
Minnesota closed out the first half of its season in emphatic fashion last week, rolling past the Portland Trail Blazers 133-109 at Target Center. The convincing win gave the Wolves a 34-22 record heading into the break.
The team will use the extended rest to recharge and prepare for what figures to be a pivotal final stretch of the regular season. With just over two dozen games remaining, every contest from here on out carries added weight as seeding battles intensify across the conference.
The Wolves won’t have long to enjoy the downtime, though. Minnesota tips off the second half of its season Friday night at Target Center when the Dallas Mavericks come to town.
