Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins are bringing a franchise icon back into the fold, announcing that Hall of Famer Paul Molitor will serve as one of five color commentators for the club this season.
Molitor, a beloved figure in Minnesota baseball history, spent the final three seasons of his illustrious playing career with the Twins from 1996-1998. The hometown hero returned to the organization in a different capacity in 2015 when he was named manager, a position he held through the 2018 season.
The versatile designated hitter’s playing career earned him a place in Cooperstown, and now Twins fans will have the opportunity to hear his insights and analysis throughout the 2026 season.
In related news, the Twins’ pitchers and catchers are set to report to Spring Training on Wednesday, marking the unofficial start of the baseball season as Minnesota prepares for the year ahead.
More details about Molitor’s broadcasting schedule and role are expected to be announced as the season approaches.
