Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Timberwolves extended their winning streak to four games with a dominant 131-114 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies at FedEx Forum on Saturday night.
Minnesota controlled the contest throughout, building a lead as large as 22 points against the Grizzlies. Anthony Edwards paced the Wolves with a game-high 33 points, while Julius Randle added 27 points in the winning effort.
The victory improved Minnesota’s record to 31-19, keeping them firmly positioned in fifth place in the competitive Western Conference standings. The Timberwolves will look to make it five straight wins when they return to FedEx Forum for a rematch with Memphis tonight.
Edwards received additional recognition over the weekend, earning his fourth consecutive All-Star Game selection on Sunday. The star guard continues to cement his status as one of the NBA’s premier talents as he leads Minnesota through the second half of the season.
The Timberwolves will aim to sweep the home-and-home series against the Grizzlies in tonight’s contest.
