Wild’s Struggles Continue with Lopsided Loss to Jets

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Wild’s recent slide hit a new low Thursday night as they fell 6-2 to the Winnipeg Jets at Grand Casino Arena, marking their third consecutive defeat.

The Wild found themselves in an early hole, surrendering three goals in the opening period. Unable to recover from the rocky start, Minnesota trailed for the remainder of the contest despite goals from Danila Yurov and Marcus Johansson.

Minnesota will look to snap the three-game skid when they travel to Buffalo to face the Sabres on Friday. The quick turnaround gives the Wild little time to dwell on their recent struggles, but it also provides an immediate opportunity to get back in the win column.

The Wild will need to tighten up defensively and find a way to generate offense beyond their two goal-scorers if they hope to reverse their fortunes against Buffalo.
