Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Gophers delivered their most impressive performance of the season Tuesday night, knocking off 19th-ranked Iowa 70-67 at Williams Arena in front of an electric crowd at the Barn.

With the game hanging in the balance, sophomore guard Jaylen Crocker-Johnson rose to the occasion, drilling a go-ahead three-pointer with just one minute remaining in regulation to give Minnesota the lead for good.

Iowa had one final chance to force overtime, but the Hawkeyes’ potential game-tying shot rimmed out at the buzzer, sending the home crowd into a frenzy and securing the upset victory for the Gophers.

Langston Reynolds led Minnesota’s offensive attack with a game-high 22 points, providing consistent scoring throughout the contest and helping the Gophers match Iowa’s firepower down the stretch.

The victory improves Minnesota to 10-5 overall and, more importantly, 3-1 in Big Ten Conference play.

Minnesota will look to build on this momentum when they host USC at Williams Arena on Friday night.
