The Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce and the League of Women Voters have launched a new quarterly event entitled Coffee and Community. The first gathering was held in October with a panel discussion focused on public safety.
The next event is coming up on January 21st, from 8:00 to 9:15 a.m. at the Becker County Museum Event Center. The topic will be funding and enrollment in local public schools, including current changes, challenges, and trends.
Panelists will include Detroit Lakes Superintendent Mark Jenson, Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Technology Renee Kerzman, and Director of Finance and Operations Jason Kuehn.
The event is free and will include a moderated panel, coffee and pastries, and handouts with helpful contacts and resources. Registration is encouraged at visitdetroitlakes.com/chamber or through the Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
Coffee and Community is presented by the Detroit Lakes Chamber and the League of Women Voters, and sponsored by Leighton Media and Zerr Berg Architects.
