Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Wild’s six-game point streak came to an end Monday night with a 4-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena.
After a competitive first period, the Wild’s fortunes shifted in the second frame when they surrendered two goals that put them in a deficit they couldn’t overcome. Minnesota spent the remainder of the game chasing the scoreboard but couldn’t find the equalizer against a Kings team that tightened up defensively.
Captain Jared Spurgeon and forward Ryan Hartman provided the offense for Minnesota.
The Wild are tied for second place in the Central Division with 58 points.
The Wild will look to bounce back when they travel to Seattle to face the Kraken on Thursday night.
