Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Vikings capped their season on a high note Sunday, defeating the Green Bay Packers 16-3 at U.S. Bank Stadium to extend their winning streak to five games.

The Vikings’ defense delivered a masterful performance. Minnesota built a comfortable lead when fullback CJ Ham punched in a touchdown in the closing seconds of the first half, giving the home team a two-score advantage heading into the locker room.

Wide receiver Justin Jefferson continued his elite production, hauling in eight receptions for 101 yards. The performance marked Jefferson’s sixth consecutive 1,000-yard season, cementing his status as one of the league’s premier receivers.

Quarterback JJ McCarthy completed passes for 182 yards before exiting the contest with a hand injury. The severity of the injury was not immediately disclosed.

Despite the strong finish, Minnesota ended the regular season with a 9-8 record, placing third in the competitive NFC North division. The five-game winning streak provides momentum heading into the offseason, though it wasn’t enough to secure a playoff berth.

The Vikings will now turn their attention to the draft and offseason preparations as they look to build on the late-season success.
