Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Timberwolves turned a close game into a blowout with a dominant second-half performance, defeating the Chicago Bulls 136-101 at United Center on Monday night.
After taking just a five-point lead into halftime, the Timberwolves exploded in the final two quarters, outscoring the Bulls 81-51 to turn the contest into a rout.
Sixth man Naz Reid led the offensive charge with a game-high 33 points off the bench, while star guard Anthony Edwards added 23 points in the victory.
The win improves Minnesota’s record to 21-12, keeping them in sixth place in the competitive Western Conference standings. The Timberwolves will look to build on the momentum when they travel to Atlanta to face the Hawks on Wednesday.
