The Peoples Park Warming House in Detroit Lakes will open for the season on Monday, December 22. Located just off Rossman Avenue at 1324 Peoples Street, the park features three outdoor ice-skating rinks and a staffed warming house.
Holiday hours run December 22 through January 4, open daily from 12:00 to 8:30 p.m. Beginning January 5, and continuing through the end of the season, hours will be Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Skating outside posted hours is allowed at skaters’ own risk, and all skates must be returned by the end of each day. Weather-related closures will be announced on the City of Detroit Lakes website and Facebook page.
