The White Earth Tribal Police Department carried out a narcotics-related search warrant in the village of Naytahwaush on December 11, leading to the arrest of five individuals.
In a statement, the department said two adults, 25-year-old Bradley Auginaush and 22-year-old Daniah Goodwin, were taken into custody on drug possession charges and outstanding warrants. Two other adults, 25-year-old Shayna King and 28-year-old David Roy, were arrested on allegations of child endangerment and drug possession. A fifth individual, 31-year-old Bruce Auginaush Jr., was arrested on a charge of first-degree drug possession with intent to sell. Police noted Auginaush Jr. has been arrested several times in the past eight months on distribution-related charges.
Authorities also executed a separate search warrant near the home of one of the arrestees later that same day. Investigators are asking anyone with information related to criminal activity to contact law enforcement.
The operation was conducted with assistance from multiple agencies, including the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force, the FBI Headwaters Safe Trails Task Force, the Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office, the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, the Bemidji Police Department, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office.
