The holiday season is off to a bright start on the White Earth Reservation. On December 4th, Toys for Tots delivered a large shipment of toys to the White Earth Reservation Community Councils for distribution to local families.
Official distribution points will be announced soon. While early registration was offered for families wishing to receive toys, White Earth RTC representative Sara LaChapelle says community members can still pick up gifts even if they didn’t register in advance. She says families are welcome to simply show up on the scheduled distribution day.
According to LaChapelle, there is typically an abundance of items available—especially hats and gloves. For those who did not register, all gifts will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis.
