Frazee Dance Team Competition Update

Thursday, December 4th- Heart of the Lakes Kick Conference
On Thursday, the Frazee Dance Team traveled to Wadena-Deer Creek High School for the Heart of the Lakes Kick Conference. The varsity kick team placed 6th out of 9 teams with a score of 250 out of 500 points.

The team performed well in several areas, including creativity, placement & control, visual effectiveness, and routine effectiveness. The top five teams were Crosby (1st), Bagley (2nd), DGF (3rd), Pelican Rapids (4th), and Hawley (5th). All of these teams are also in Section 4A.

Friday, December 5th – ROCORI High School Meet
On Saturday, the Dance Team traveled to ROCORI High School for a large meet featuring 14 teams in the Class A division. The JV Jazz team made its season debut and finished 8th out of 10 teams. They scored well in placement & control and routine effectiveness.

The Varsity Jazz team had its second performance of the season and delivered a great showing! They placed 8th out of 14 teams and excelled in the difficulty of skills and routine effectiveness.

The Varsity Kick team competed for the third time this season and placed 10th out of 13 teams. The team experienced a fall during their routine, which cost them points, but it didn’t affect their placement. The girls recovered beautifully and finished the dance strong! They scored well in creativity and visual effectiveness.

The top three teams at the ROCORI meet were Lac qui Parle Dawson Boyd (1st), Holdingford (2nd), and Crosby Ironton (3rd).

Next Competition – Saturday, December 13, in Detroit Lakes
We’re excited to compete in Detroit Lakes this Saturday! Doors open at 11:15 AM and the competition starts at 12:00 PM. JV Jazz will perform at approximately 12:58 PM, Varsity Jazz at 1:38 PM, and Varsity Kick at 3:35 PM.
