Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Timberwolves delivered a powerful performance on their home court Monday night, securing a 120-96 rout of the Dallas Mavericks at the Target Center.
The victory marks a return to the win column for the T-Wolves. Minnesota took control early in the contest, heading into halftime with a commanding lead of 61-44. Their control never wavered, as the Timberwolves extended their lead to as many as 33 points in the second half.
The catalyst for the dominant victory was forward Naz Reid, who came off the bench to put up spectacular numbers. Reid achieved a crucial double-double, pouring in 22 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
With the win, Minnesota improved its season record to 9-and-5. The team will look to capitalize on this momentum immediately, as the T-Wolves are scheduled to host the Wizards tomorrow night.
