
New York Mills, MN – The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office is reporting no injuries from a shop fire in rural New York Mills Thursday night (November 13).
The Sheriff’s Office received a report of a shop on fire at an address on 370th Street in Newton Township at around 10:06 p.m. Deputies say the fire stemmed from a spark caused by an angle grinder cutting tin siding earlier in the day. Damages from the fire included minor smoke damage, damage to insulation and siding, and a structural loss to a small portion of the shop.
The Perham and New York Mills Fire Departments assisted the Sheriff’s Office in putting out the fire.
