Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Vikings endured one of their most disappointing performances of the season Thursday night, falling 37-10 to the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium in a game that was never competitive.

The Vikings’ offense sputtered throughout the primetime matchup, managing just 164 total yards while the Chargers dominated with 419 yards. Minnesota’s offensive struggles were evident from the opening drive as they failed to establish any rhythm against a relentless Los Angeles defense.

Quarterback Carson Wentz had a particularly rough outing, absorbing five sacks while completing passes for 144 yards. He threw one touchdown but also tossed a costly interception in what became a forgettable night for the veteran signal-caller.

The lopsided defeat drops Minnesota to 3-4 on the season as they approach the midpoint of their campaign. The Vikings will look to rebound when they host division rival Detroit Lions on November 2nd in what becomes a crucial NFC North matchup.

For a team with playoff aspirations, Thursday’s performance raised serious questions about both sides of the ball. The Vikings will need to make significant adjustments during their extended preparation time before facing the Lions.
