Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins are making progress in their search for a new manager, with the franchise set to interview two experienced candidates for the position.
According to a report from the Star Tribune, the Twins plan to meet with both Scott Servais and Vance Wilson as they look to fill the vacancy left by Rocco Baldelli’s dismissal at the conclusion of the 2025 season.
Servais brings significant big-league managerial experience to the table, having led the Seattle Mariners from 2016 through 2024. During his tenure in Seattle, he oversaw the franchise through a rebuilding period and helped develop young talent in one of baseball’s most challenging divisions.
Wilson, meanwhile, has been steadily climbing the coaching ranks with the Kansas City Royals since 2018. His time in Kansas City has coincided with the organization’s resurgence, giving him experience working with a team that has rebuilt into contention.
The Twins are looking to turn the page after parting ways with Baldelli, who had managed the club since 2019. The organization will be hoping their next hire can help the team return to playoff contention in the competitive American League Central.
The managerial search comes at a critical time for the franchise as they look to maximize their competitive window and build on their recent history of success in the division.
