The Fergus Falls Police Department, in cooperation with the Otter Tail County and Becker County Sheriff’s Offices, is continuing its investigation into a missing person case involving 45-year-old Joshua Ard of Fergus Falls.

Ard was reported missing and endangered on August 4, 2025, after family and friends said they had not seen or heard from him since mid to late June. Authorities say Ard’s last known location may have been in the rural Frazee area, near the border of Becker and Otter Tail counties.

Since the report, law enforcement agencies have conducted extensive land, air, and water searches, utilizing drones, all-terrain vehicles, specialized K-9 units, and numerous officers.

Police say there is no known threat to the public, and at this time, foul play is not suspected. The case remains an active Missing and Endangered Person Investigation led by the Fergus Falls Police Department.

Authorities are asking the public—particularly hunters and harvesters active in the area—to stay alert and report anything suspicious or unusual to local law enforcement.

Anyone with information about Joshua Ard’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Fergus Falls Police Department or their local sheriff’s office.
