PINE LAKE TOWNSHIP, Minn. — A Wadena woman was injured Tuesday afternoon after her car rear-ended a truck on Highway 10 in Otter Tail County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The crash happened around 4:05 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, near the intersection of County Road 53 in Pine Lake Township.

According to the State Patrol report, a 2001 Sterling straight truck driven by a 40-year-old New York Mills man was heading east on Highway 10 and slowing to turn left onto County Road 53. A 2018 Ford Focus, also eastbound, struck the rear of the truck.

The 28-year-old female driver of the Focus, from Wadena, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and airbags deployed in both vehicles. The report indicates that alcohol was not a factor and road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
