(KNSI) – The Minnesota Lynx saw two of their standout players receive prestigious defensive recognition on Wednesday, as Napheesa Collier and Alanna Smith were both named to the WNBA All-Defensive First Team.
Smith, who was previously named Defensive Player of the Year last month, earned her place on the elite defensive squad alongside Collier, who is making her second career appearance on the All-Defensive First Team.
The pair’s defensive prowess was instrumental in Minnesota’s success during the season, as the Lynx compiled an impressive 34-10 record.
