Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Timberwolves nearly completed a remarkable comeback Tuesday night, but fell just short in a 135-134 overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers at Target Center.

The Wolves found themselves in a deep hole, trailing by 24 points in the third quarter. But Minnesota refused to go quietly, mounting an impressive rally that forced the game into overtime.

In the extra period, the Timberwolves had a chance to steal the win when Enrique Freeman launched a potential game-winning three-pointer as time expired. The shot rimmed out, sealing Indiana’s narrow victory.

The result moves the Timberwolves to 1-1 in exhibition play. Minnesota will look to bounce back Thursday night when they travel to New York to face the Knicks in their next preseason matchup.
