Lynx Dominate Valkyries to Clinch WNBA’s Best Record, Set for Playoff Rematch Sunday

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Lynx capped off a dominant regular season in emphatic fashion, dismantling the Golden State Valkyries 72-53 at Target Center to close out their 2025 campaign with the WNBA’s best record.

The Lynx controlled the game from start to finish, building leads as large as 20 points while showcasing the balanced offensive attack that has defined their championship-caliber season. Guard Natisha Hiedeman paced Minnesota with a game-high 21 points, while star forward Napheesa Collier added 19 points in the comprehensive victory.

The victory secured Minnesota’s position atop the WNBA standings with an impressive 34-10 record, earning the franchise home-court advantage throughout the postseason.

Minnesota will face the same Golden State Valkyries in Game One of their First Round playoff series Sunday. Tip-off is at noon at Target Center.
