FOREST TWP, Minn. — Two women were injured Saturday afternoon after their motorcycles collided head-on along Highway 113 in Becker County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened at about 2:32 Saturday afternoon (August 30) near mile marker 42 in Forest Township. A westbound 2015 Harley Davidson, driven by 65-year-old Joanne Lynn Cassady of Bemidji, and an eastbound 2008 Yamaha Cruiser, driven by 68-year-old Kelly Claude Carver of East Grand Forks, collided.
Cassady suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Fargo for treatment. Carver also sustained non-life-threatening injuries but did not require hospital care.
Neither rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, the patrol noted. Alcohol was not a factor.
The roadway was dry when the incident occurred. White Earth Police, the Becker County Sheriff’s Office, White Earth Ambulance, and North Memorial Air assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
