Dunvilla, MN – Two people were hospitalized following a head-on collision near Pelican Rapids this weekend.
Troopers say that at around 1:30 Sunday afternoon (August 31st), a minivan was heading south on Highway 59 near Dunvilla and a pickup truck was heading north when the vehicles collided.
The driver of the minivan, 28-year-old Lukas Maughan of Fargo, was transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. His passenger, 28-year-old Hayley Maughan, also received injuries and was taken to Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes.
The 54-year-old driver of the pickup was not injured.
The State Patrol was assisted by the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, Pelican Rapids Police and Fire Departments, and Ringdahl and Essentia Ambulances.
