Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Wild have secured their offensive future, signing center Marco Rossi to a three-year contract extension worth $15 million.

The deal keeps the promising young forward in St. Paul through the 2027-28 season. The 23-year-old emerged as a key contributor for the Wild last season, posting career-high numbers with 24 goals and 36 assists for 60 points in 82 games.

The extension, averaging $5 million per year, represents a significant investment in Rossi’s development and the team’s future.

The Austrian center was a 2020 first-round draft pick who battled through injury setbacks early in his professional career. He missed a substantial amount of time due to health issues in his first two seasons with the Wild.
