A vehicle started on fire with a driver inside during the demolition derby at the Becker County Fair Friday night.
According to the Becker County Fair, the driver was able to exit the vehicle and was assisted to the onsite ambulance with the assistance of the derby arena crew.
The ambulance transported the man in the vehicle to a local hospital for treatment.
The Becker County Fair said in an online post Saturday, “Our derby fans donated $3,465 towards last night’s injured derby driver and other drivers donated an additional $700 of their winnings.”
