Dunvilla, MN – Two people are hurt after one of them fell asleep while driving and crashed into the other near Dunvilla Wednesday afternoon (June 25th).
State troopers say that at around 2:45 p.m. two SUVs were heading south on Highway 59 near The Barn at Dunvilla. The first SUV, driven by 63-year-old Paul Lykken of Pelican Rapids, was turning right on Pelican Drive when the driver of the second vehicle, 80-year-old Ross Johnson of Miramar Beach, Florida, fell asleep and crashed into Lykken’s vehicle.
Both men were transported to Essentia Health St. Mary’s in Detroit Lakes for treatment of minor injuries.
The State Patrol was assisted by the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office and Ringdahl Ambulance.
