Detroit Lakes, MN — June 17, 2025 — HIA Hospice invites the community to a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Monday, June 23, to officially unveil its new name and celebrate with the Detroit Lakes community.

The event will take place at the HIA Hospice office located at 1111 Hwy. 10 E., Detroit Lakes, MN 56501. Guests are welcome to stop by between 2 and 3:30 p.m., with the ribbon cutting scheduled for 3 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Formerly known as Hospice of the Red River Valley, the organization was recently rebranded as HIA Hospice. The new name reflects how the organization has grown and continues to serve communities with compassion and dedication. While the name has changed, the care and commitment remain the same.

“This new name is a continuation of the trusted care we’ve always provided, just under a name that better reflects who we are today,” said Tracee Capron, Executive Director of HIA Hospice. “We’re proud to celebrate this new chapter with our community.”

All are welcome to attend and help mark this exciting milestone.
