Joel Janorschke LREC
Pelican Rapids, MN – As of today (June 16th), Lake Region Electric Cooperative has a new CEO.
The LREC Board of Directors announced in May that Joel Janorschke will serve as the cooperative’s new CEO, replacing former CEO Tim Thompson, who resigned in February.
Janorschke is eager to bring a mix of leadership and experience to this next chapter in his career.
“I am truly honored to join Lake Region Electric Cooperative,” Janorschke said. “I look forward to collaborating with the LREC staff and building strong relationships while promoting open communication with our members as we look toward the future.”
LREC Board Chair Tom Jennen says. “His (Janorschke’s) years of co-op experience have helped him develop a deep understanding of the current trends and challenges we face, and we’re confident he’ll continue our mission to provide safe, affordable, and reliable power to our members.”
Janorschke most recently served as the CEO of Two Harbors-based Cooperative Light & Power and received his Master’s of Business Administration from the St. Cloud State – Herberger Business School.
