Detroit Lakes , MN (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes Community & Cultural Center (DLCCC) Board of Directors has announced the organization’s new CEO.
Jeff Dertinger will be taking over the role from Peter Jacobson on July 7th. Dertinger most recently served as the Director of Administration at the Family Wellness Center in Fargo. He also previously served as Director of Recreation & Communications at the North Dakota State University Wellness Center.
The Board says Dertinger has a passion for building community that energizes people, strengthens teams, and makes real impact. He is an avid outdoorsman, spending his free time hunting, fishing, running, and blacksmithing. Jeff and his wife, Amanda, have a 5-year-old son and are looking forward to relocating to Detroit Lakes.
The Board thanks Peter for his tremendous leadership and dedication to the DLCCC over the last six years. Despite having to navigate the significant impacts of the COVID pandemic very early in his tenure, the organization says it has seen many successes in programming, philanthropy, financial performance and various ways of continuing to fulfill its mission during Peter’s role as CEO. As he moves into retirement, DLCCC looks forward to finding ways of recognizing and celebrating Peter towards the end of July.
