Some West Downtown Streets Closed Monday and Tuesday

Next Monday and Tuesday some streets in the west downtown area of Detroit Lakes will be closed temporarily for the final paving is completed. Jon Pratt, from Apex Engineering Group, said, ‘The Contractor will be completing the final lift of pavement on the West Downtown Reconstruction project on Monday June 9th and Tuesday June 10.^th”

This work will require short term (less than one day) closures of the following streets Monday and Tuesday. Holmes Street from Washington to Lake. Frazee Street from Washington to Oak Grove. Front Street from Washington to Summit. And Lake Avenue from Front to State.

Detours will not be posted due to the short durations of the closures. Drivers should expect some congestion and the need to use alternate routes.

Please obey road closure signs, barricades, and no parking restrictions which will help us complete the work safely and as efficiently as possible.
