Otter Tail County, MN (KBRF) – A man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to having sexual contact with his friend’s underage daughter.
37-year-old David Duane Donald Tieman of Brainerd has been sentenced to 27 months at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud after he pleaded guilty to inappropriately touching a teenage girl when they were living in the same house last December.
Otter Tail County Deputies say the girl reported that Tieman was a friend of her dad’s and after about a week of him staying with them, he joined her on the couch when her dad was sleeping and began touching her inappropriately.
She told deputies that he then tried to get her to join him in the bathroom, but she ran to her bedroom and grabbed a pocketknife. She said Tieman tried to join her and continue the contact, but she pointed the knife at him and told him to leave.
Deputies spoke with the girl’s father, and when he was told about what happened, he became upset and pulled up in-home security footage. The footage showed Tieman acting in a way that lined up with the daughter’s statements.
In addition to his 27 months in St. Cloud, Tieman was also sentenced to 3 months at the Otter Tail County Jail and 10 years probation.
