Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation recently announced several overweight permit and spring load restriction changes for the coming weeks:
- Starting Wednesday, April 30th, full-summer overweight permits will become available in the South, Southeast and Metro frost zones
- MnDOT will end spring load restrictions (SLR) in the Central and North-Central frost zones on Friday, May 2nd
- Finally, spring load restrictions will end in the North frost zone on Monday, May 12th
MnDOT is telling drivers to check with local agencies prior to increasing any weights on their routes.
