Frazee Man Returned to Prison for Probation Violation in Predatory Offender Case

A Frazee man previously convicted of criminal sexual conduct involving a child is now serving time in prison after violating conditions of his probation.
Duke Walter Muckey, 41, was on supervised probation following a felony conviction for second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a victim under the age of 13. As part of his sentence, Muckey was required to register for life as a predatory offender and maintain accurate residence information with authorities.
In November 2024, a local probation officer reported that Muckey had not been checking in as required, and a Becker County investigator confirmed that he was no longer living at his registered address in Frazee. A family member told investigators that Muckey had been staying in Moorhead and only occasionally returned to collect items.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension showed no updated address or homeless status on file.
A warrant was issued on November 22, 2024, and Muckey was taken into custody in January. His probation was revoked, and he is now incarcerated at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud.
This case underscores the importance of Minnesota’s registration requirements for predatory offenders, which are enforced by both local and state agencies.
