A Brainerd man is facing multiple charges after Otter Tail County deputies and a SWAT team responded to a domestic disturbance involving threats and gunfire Friday night.
According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old Donavan Trayon Bolden was arrested after authorities received a 911 call around 6 p.m. reporting an escalating domestic incident at a rural home near Fergus Falls.
Investigators say Bolden had fired a gun outside the home earlier in the day and made verbal threats to use it again. When deputies arrived, the Otter Tail SWAT Team was called in due to the risk of weapons on scene. Bolden was taken into custody without incident.
A search of the residence uncovered multiple firearms, including a 9mm handgun hidden in a crawlspace. Prosecutors say Bolden admitted to moving the weapon and acknowledged he knew he wasn’t supposed to be around guns.
He is currently being held at the Otter Tail County Jail and faces charges of:
• Domestic Assault (Gross Misdemeanor)
• Felony Threats of Violence
• Felon in Possession of a Firearm
