This is a case we’ve been following—new court documents shed light on what led to a fatal head-on crash in Clay County last weekend.
28-year-old Christopher Pink is now charged with criminal vehicular homicide after allegedly driving drunk and crashing into another vehicle on Highway 75 Saturday night.
Investigators say Pink was driving northbound in the southbound lane when he collided head-on with a Jeep Compass. The driver, 43-year-old Jennifer Watson of Texas, was killed. Her dog also died from the crash.
According to court filings, witnesses reported Pink smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech, and was acting out of control at the scene. Surveillance video shows him drinking and taking shots at Buffalo Wild Wings just 45 minutes before the crash.
Pink allegedly refused sobriety tests and medical treatment before being arrested. He has a prior DWI conviction from 2019
