A 38-year-old man from Fargo and four children were involved in a collision with a semi-truck on Interstate 94 near mile marker 60, just southeast of Fergus Falls, early Monday morning. The incident occurred shortly before 7:00 a.m. on February 17.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, both the 2013 Honda Pilot SUV, carrying the man and children aged 14, 13, 8, and 6, and the semi-truck, driven by a 46-year-old man from Aurora, Colorado, were traveling eastbound when the collision happened. Details regarding the cause of the crash and the extent of injuries have not been released yet. Authorities anticipate providing more information later today.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, Fergus Falls Police, Fire & Rescue, and Ringdahl Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
