Local law enforcement agencies are teaming up for the Annual Battle of the Badges, a friendly competition aimed at supporting students in Becker County schools. The initiative runs from February 1st to February 28th, with officers collecting cash and gift card donations for school care closets.
The program benefits students in the Audubon, Detroit Lakes, Frazee, Lake Park, Ogema, and Pine Point school districts. Donations will be used by school counselors and social workers to provide students with essential items.
Donation drop-off locations include:
• Audubon City Hall
• Detroit Lakes Police Department
• Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Jail
• Frazee City Office
• Lake Park City Hall
The law enforcement agency that collects the most donations will take home the traveling trophy. For more details, contact Josie at the DL Police Department at 218-847-4222, or Linda at the Becker County Sheriff’s Office at 218-847-2661.
