Polar Fest Plunge Competition Heats Up in Detroit Lakes

By Trish Johnson Feb 4, 2025 | 6:29 AM

As Polar Fest 2025 approaches, the Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes is rallying teams for their “Chillin’ for the Children” Plunge fundraiser. The current Chillanthropy Champions, Lakeshirts, set the bar high last year by raising $18,132 to support over 300 local youth. But the big question is: can they hold onto the epic traveling trophy and their bragging rights?
Any team can participate, and the stakes are higher than ever. Not only does every dollar raised stay in Detroit Lakes, but the top fundraising team will also win $500 to celebrate at local favorites like Hub 41, Brygge Taps & Tastes, Cormorant Pub & Boathouse, or Roasted Pub and Eatery.
Have you challenged a rival business or group yet? If not, now’s the time! For more information, visit the Polar Fest Plunge website at polarfestplunge.bgcdl.org.
Let’s make a splash for a great cause and show these kids the power of community!
