Bill Would Ban Federal Contracts for Companies Discriminating Against Firearms Industry

The Firearm Industry Non-Discrimination (FIND) Act, currently under review in Congress, aims to prohibit federal agencies from contracting with companies that discriminate against firearms manufacturers or related businesses.
Supporters of the bill argue that federal dollars shouldn’t subsidize businesses that actively work against constitutionally protected industries. “The government shouldn’t contract with companies that undermine Second Amendment rights,” a cosponsor stated.
Critics of the legislation question whether it infringes on a company’s right to choose its business practices and argue that federal contracts should remain merit-based.
The bill comes as part of a broader effort to ensure that federal policies don’t indirectly limit access to firearms or impede the firearms industry.
