Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty has been named to the Board of Directors at Essentia Health, headquartered in Duluth. Pawlenty, a Republican who served two terms as governor and previously as a state representative, is one of seven new members joining the board.
Pawlenty brings extensive experience to the role, having served on the boards of several businesses and organizations. His leadership is expected to complement Essentia Health’s mission of making a difference in the communities it serves.
Essentia Health is a major healthcare provider in the region, operating 14 hospitals, 78 clinics, 25 retail pharmacies, long-term care facilities, assisted living centers, seven ambulance services, and one research institute. The organization employs around 15,500 people and continues to expand its impact in the upper Midwest.
