The DNR is hosting two free webinars to help folks make the most of winter:
- Dec. 18: Dodge Nature Center’s Pete Cleary will share fun and practical ideas to get kids outdoors this winter.
- Jan. 8: Dr. Elena West from the University of Minnesota will talk about the decline of red-headed woodpeckers and the ongoing recovery efforts to help this important bird species bounce back.
Both webinars are free, but registration is required. You can sign up on the DNR’s Outdoor Skills webpage.
Why it matters to DL: Whether you’re looking for ways to keep the kids active or you’re a bird lover curious about conservation efforts, these webinars provide a great opportunity to learn and connect with the outdoors.
