A fire broke out Tuesday afternoon at Noffsinger North Manufacturing in Menahga, prompting a swift response from local fire departments and law enforcement.
At approximately 4:30 PM on December 10, Wadena County officials received an alarm from the facility, followed by a call from an employee reporting visible flames. Upon arrival, Menahga Police observed thick black smoke pouring from a garage door and flames visible through an exhaust vent.
All employees were safely evacuated, and fire crews quickly contained the blaze, limiting damage to the facility’s paint room. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and no injuries were reported.
Multiple agencies assisted, including fire departments from Menahga, Sebeka, and Park Rapids, along with the State Fire Marshal’s Office and other emergency responders.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts, the damage was contained, and the plant avoided a more serious outcome.
