The state could see a record number of ATV-related deaths in 2024, with 30 fatalities reported so far this year.
According to the DNR’s Bruce Lawrence, the median age of those killed was 44, and 23 of the victims were male operators. Fatal crashes often occur when ATVs are driven on roads, leading to rollovers or collisions with vehicles.
Minnesota has more than 343,000 registered ATVs, making safety precautions essential for riders.
