By Trish Johnson Dec 4, 2024 | 9:31 AM

High school students in the Arvig service area have a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., as part of the 2025 Foundation for Rural Service Youth Tour. The winner will join more than 100 students from rural communities nationwide to learn about the role of government in rural broadband and explore the nation’s capital.

To enter, students aged 15 to 17 are asked to write an essay answering, “How is Arvig-Connected Technology useful to you?” To qualify, participants must receive Arvig internet, telephone, or television services at their residence. Essays, up to 900 words, are due by Tuesday, April 1, 2025, and can be submitted to Josie.Winkels@arvig.com.

The Youth Tour, running June 2-6, 2025, offers students the chance to meet their peers from other rural areas, tour historic sites, and gain a deeper understanding of the broadband industry’s impact on their communities.
