Governor Tim Walz has announced $112 million in federal funds for Minnesota’s Energy Assistance Program, administered by the Minnesota Department of Commerce. The funds aim to assist income-eligible homeowners and renters with winter heating costs.
Last year, the program served over 129,500 households with an average benefit of $736. This year’s funding includes increased support, emergency furnace repairs, and utility shutoff prevention.
